Ole Miss at 19 Auburn, 11:30am, WHLT-22
South Carolina at Tennessee 6:45pm, ESPN2
4 Georgia at 18 Florida, 2:30pm, WHLT-22
Utah State at 5 Alabama, 2:00pm
USM at NC State, 11:00am
MSU at Kentucky, 6:00pm (pick--no favorite in this one)
Oklahoma at Nebraska, 11:00pm

The MSU/Kentucky game does not have a point spread as there is not a favorite team in this matchup, but since MSU is my alma mater it must be posted...:-D

I dont think anyone will score in the MSU-KENTUCKY Game...

Georgia getting points @ Florida Looks very interesting.. Is this the Cocktail Party Game?

Last year in Oxford, Auburn beat Ole Miss 35-14 (21 points) and this year the game is at Auburn to give them the additional home field advantage. Offensively, Ole Miss is even worse than last year, but defensively they've made great strides. I'm not sure what to predict on this one....Ole Miss's offense could give Auburn some cheap points which would blow up the margin.

While I agree with your assessment of Ole Miss (and know as an alum it must hurt to admit that), you fail to mention that Auburn is not nearly the same team they were last year. I just think this spread is too wide. But hey, I've been losing BIG TIME here.

Auburn is still very good. While they played poorly in their opener against Georgia Tech, they have played very solidly since then, including the loss in Baton Rogue last weekend. They utterly obliterated Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks a few weeks back. While not as good as last year, they are probably the best 5-2 team in the country. But, reluctantly, I think Ole Miss's defense will keep it a little closer than 20 points.

Not with DJ Shockley out, Arkansas, who lost to Vandy at home earlier this year, took the Dogs to the wire after Shockley went out last week. I say Florida by at least a TD....if not the www.firecoachmeyer.com (http://www.firecoachmeyer.com) site may become heavily frequented.

hubba I think you smoking on that peace pipe again. If I remember correctly georgia's backup is pretty darn good. Georgia is not undefeated and ranked 4thin the country because of their quaterback.....

the natives are already restless in the Swamp...with FSU still looming on the schedule, UF cannot affford a third loss. Georgia is highly overrated; they barely beat Arkansas between the hedges and was really not very impressive when they beat State in Starkville a few weeks back. I see a UF victory with Shockley out.

The "I" and the "E" are not next to one another, noway.

Now, hawkeye, don't be so rough on the poor boy. He had dinner with my neighbors the lesbians, and I'm not sure he's ever going to be the same.

You certainly can't be expecting him to keep such things as homophones straight.

Hawk, did you see that play under review in the Ole Miss/Auburn game?

How crazy was that? :smt118

I think the officials are prejudice!

I can't watch anymore of the Ole Miss game. I'm switching over to ABC to see FSU and Maryland play!

mccole79
10-29-2005, 02:34 PM
Well, I didn't bet any money on the Ole Miss game, so I'm not worried about that. It's just that it's more important to me to watch FSU than it is to watch Ole Miss. :)

Posting spreads without a 1/2 is just dangerous. You can't push with vBookie and refund the bets, there has to be a winner with the way it's set up. Now, if a thread was created for each game, then you can refund, but the way these game threads are set up, if you marked that, it would refund the money for all games. So, we are pretty much forced to put 1/2 points in.

Sportsbook has a 6.5 point spread though, and with that, USM wins.

lol, I bet on Auburn. Anyway, on the USM game, we're going to have to payout on both outcomes now.

Too many points for me to bet on Auburn (although they beat the spread), and Ole Miss is just not a team to bet on this year.

I wanted to bet on the USM game, but they're too inconsistent this year.

I won a cool grand on OK, though. Now let's see if State can lose.

I hope noway resolves all the bets before Tuesday so I can bet it all on the rain!

I still can't figure out why Florida was picked over #5 undefeated Georgia. Florida did end up winning, but it was a gutsy call.

Florida did end up winning

My best friend will be happy, but he better watch out when the Noles come to town! :-D

I only bet on 2 college games - 1K on OK and 5k on KY. Came out good on both. :) I see you thought NE was a cinch, aaron, since that was your highest bet.

I started to bet on UT, because I didn't think AL would run the score up on them.

Now let's see if I can hit on the 2 pro games tomorrow.

Hawk, this page http://www.myhattiesburg.com/forums/vbookie.php?do=viewitem&item_id=28 shows you winning and being paid $1000 on South Carolina, $500 on Georgia, $100 on Utah State, $100 on North Carolina, and two on Kentucky, one for $10,000 and and one for $1000. At vBookie home, under News and Events, where it says "Hawkeye won 10000" refers to the one bet on Kentucky. It always shows the one highest winning bet of the most recently paid event, not the highest total amount won.

I took a beating on this weekend...lost about 6500K...but I'll live to fight another weekend. Now, just bring back the bank...so interest, rather than being a posting junkie, can help me recover!
