View Full Version : USM loses 21 - 17 vs. NC State

Well guys... the game is over and NC State has won. USM led the game until late in the game. The actual clencher came when the Eagles fumbled on a punt return in the 4th quarter giving NC State the ball. Oh well... better luck next time.

I don’t think it was a fun plane ride home, when Southern Miss. departed North Carolina State.
They didn’t have much better success, than Iraq did when it invaded Kuwait.

The defense held on, as long as it could
But the offense was in and out, like a rich man lost in the hood.

We couldn’t sustain a long drive, for the most part it was three and out.
I don’t think the offensive line, will be receiving many call from the Pro Scouts.

The Reverand read where NC State had a good defense, we knew it would be hard to score.
But this wasn’t a powerhouse team, wasn’t their record 2 and 4?

Maybe next week will be different, and from the fans there will be no complaints.
Maybe we can substitute that away game with Marshall, for a contest with the Saints.

It wasn't a fun drive home, either. I think Dustin should start cutting some checks to those of us who went to get some of the gas money and stuff back.

I love USM football but driving to NC is alittle too much for a .500 team.
