USM vs Marshall

This C-USA matchup is the first time these two teams have met since Marshall is new to conference USA.

Their stats are pretty evenly matched as I'm having to give my own point spread since it's not listed anywhere I can find.

USM at Marshall 11/8 6:30pm ESPN2

Well Marshall is 3-1 at Home.. 4-4 overall.. I found a line of usm -7.. Its hard to say what will happen. seems like Marshall at home getting 7 from USM seems High.. These are the games USM wins tho. :smt102

From what I've read of Marshall they seem pretty close to USM in scoring, records..etc...

My thinking for making USM favorites is that they are coming off a loss and will be hungry for victory even though it's a home game for Marshall.

I'm gonna buck the trend (money-wise, anyway) and go with USM. I can't see them losing to Marshall, but then again it wouldn't be the first time to lose to a school like that.

Marshall doesn't impress me with their wins over W & M by 12 points, and other similar wins. 3 of their wins this year were only by 5 points or less.

It just feels like this is a good night for USM. But I'm not betting the farm, either. :smile:

yep, and USM has been good this season after longer than a week off. I do fear that they are too worried about Houston though and didn't prepare enough for Marshall. I'm hoping the team will be able to step it up in spite of coaching.

Me & hawkeye studied all afternoon on this game.. the numbers added up on a usm win but not covering the spread.. wilebill usm won you should be happy.. man what a coaching job by bower. they were saying on the radio that they drew up the block field goal in the sand and blocked it to go to overtime..
