It was annouced today that USM will play VA TECH next year in blacksburg VA.. Who said USM is scared? Can we get an opening line on that game for next year..:smt118

Should be a close contest.

But: We use to play Va Tech "home & home" (ie. as "equals")--and split 8 games with them over the years...Now we have to go THERE with no return game, so it's like they're Penn State now--and we're STILL "just" lil' ol' "pesky" Southern Miss! (If the likes of Texas A & M, Nebraska, and Cal can "lower" themselves to play in Hattiesburg, by goodness anyone out there ought not to be "too good" to come here! [Except of course Ole Miss and State.])

Va Tech by 10 is my opening line. USM will play them tough for a half and falter late

They are supposed to play Florida Labor Day weekend 2006.
