Too Early?

So with this cold weather snap I REALLY REALLY want to put up my Christmas tree!!! Do you think it's too early?? When do most of you put your trees up?

We don't put ours up until about December 7 or so. I don't like mixing the holidays together - I like a distinct Thanksgiving and a distinct Christmas, not Thanksmas or Christgiving, or even Hallothanksmas. ;)

I usually put mine up the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend. But this year I have no idea when I'll be putting it up.

I usually put mine up when family leaves and the dinner mess is cleaned up on Thanksgiving day!---I have to admit- I am ready to put it all up now though!

I am planning on putting my tree up this weekend. I'm hoping to, at least. I posted something about this in another thread, and several people commented on how it was too early. LOL I just love Christmas! It's my favorite holiday, and the decorations are so beautiful. I want to enjoy them for as long as I can. :)

I agree McCole! I love the holidays. . . as a matter of fact I just said the heck with it and am putting my tree up tonight!
Hawk. . . how much fun to make your own ornaments! When I was younger I can remember several Christmases where we would string popcorn for the tree and how much fun it was!

Way to go Monkey! I bought a new tree this year, and I can't wait to put it up. I'm going to try my hardest to put it up on Saturday. That will give me a good break from homework. Yuck! LOL I'll be sure to take some pics and post them in my gallery for all to see. :)

The official lighting of Pittsburgh is tomorrow night. I'll try to remember to take my camera out with me and snap a few shots of the bridges lit up over the rivers.

We usually put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving, then start thinking about outdoor decorations. It never fails to get freezing cold right before. Nothing worse than trying to hang lights and garlands when the wind chill's around 10.

I love starting my decorating on Thanksgiving night. Everyone leaves from the day and I begin my tradition. Probably won't happen this year since I broke my wrist and a bone in my arm 2 weeks ago. It's not overly early-go for it. The stores have.

Exactly Fuzzis!!! It took me a couple of years to figure out that you get the best effect if you wrap each branch with lights!! That's my favorite part too!! :-D

One of my best friends loves zebras as much as I love elephants. So her tree will be all black and white with different zebra ornaments. :) Mine's very eclectic ranging from elephant ornaments, to children's stuff, to fancy ornamental stuff, to ... :)

I hope to get our tree up this weekend...I would do it after Thanksgiving but we are going out of town. and with the new baby I'm really pumped about the holidays this year..

At my brother's house they always put the tree up after December 8th..his daughter's birthday...that was her only request was to not have a tree up at her birthday :) It's tough being a December baby..

we usually put our tree and all decorations up the day after Thanksgiving - after early morning shopping. this year though i have already put mine up! i did it last weekend and cleaned top to bottom! however, the tree is not up yet. i have started listening to Christmas music and love Christmas!
