So- What confrence games are still connected to the C-USA and what seat takes which game-i.e. Liberty Bowl- Top seat. What are the other bowls and with an eastern and western division how are the seats determined?
Thanks

well on espn.com you can see the bowl schedule.. CUSA has 5 bowl spots.. So i guess if you look at the CUSA and take the top 5 records then that is were evryone goes to play ball. Now it doesn't always work that way. a given I know of is the winner of c-usa goes to the liberty bowl. With having two divisons now and more teams im not for sure how things will pan out.. I predict USM either Fort worth or New Orleans bowl
Looking at the standings C-USA has seven teams that can become bowl Eligble.. Now the politics and Money gets involved.. The amount of ticket sales in the past has alot to do with it if a bowl invites a team or not..
Does a 6-5 school with a win over a div II deserve a bowl game?

So if 4 teams are 6-5 and 2 bowl spots up for grabs.. Maybe they look at the head to head match ups. Well usm lost to two of the 6-5 teams (houston-memphis) So USM could be at home for the holidays as the rev stated..
I think the politics and Money come in on the final bowl picks so who knows :smt102

Going to a bowl just doesn't mean what it used to. Now there are so many that even USM can get a bid to at least one.

I knew there were many bowls out there that USM may go to. I don't think this season they deserve a bowl bid, and I am not sure there is enough fan momentum to have a turnout like they would need at a bowl game. USM fans are fickle and I have to admit that I am one of them. I had tickets to the game on Saturday and I did not even walk in. I stayed at tailgating. Thanks;)

I keep seeing that USM will play UL-Monroe in the New Orleans Bowl. First, how can we as fans get excited to see our team play MONROE! Has anyone passed that campus along I-20? Oak Grove's stadium is nicer than that. Also, the New Orleans Bowl, played in Lafayette this year, is on a Tuesday night. How many people can go there on a Tuesday night for a game? How can we get excited about that? Also, am I the only one on here who has a problem with Dustin Almond? He keeps getting all this recognition, and I think he is terrible. Yeah, he makes good plays and has good games, but the guy falls apart when he is under pressure. Who is next behind him?

I remember when we played Nebraska at The Rock and Lee Corso from ESPN said he would start Damien Carter at Quarterback. I dont follow everyplay but all I heard what a great athlete he is. I never read about him playing..

Well, as far as Carter goes, I witnessed him throw an interception in his first play both times Bower put him in, so he's no different than Almond...

Cbssportsline.com shows USM not going bowling and home for the holidays.
ESPN.com Two experts show USM going to a bowl one has USM in Hawaii & the other one has The New Orleans Bowl.

It would REALLY tick me off if Southern Miss goes to the Hawai'i Bowl. Why in the world would they deserve that? They go 6-5, almost don't make the bowl cut, and then get rewarded by a school paid for trip, which means a tax paid and supported paid trip, to Hawai'i. No fans will get to go unless they are just so loaded that they can afford a last minute Christmas time trip to Hawai'i. I don't think they deserve any bowl at all, in my opinion. They should get rewarded for a good season when there was a good season.

I was curious about the airfare to Hawaii. 900.00 a ticket on average. 2 people for a 4 day weekend 4000k trip. Im sure some local travel agency's will get a pakage together if USM goes. I would love to travel to Hawaii but not to watch USM..LOL!!

If they go to Hawai'i, they'd probably be playing Nevada, my home school. That would make for some interesting bets with my friends.
