We hung in there with Alabama for two quarters, but Tulsa ran on us all night.
N.C. ST. started a 3rd string back, which made our defense look like girls in a pillow fight.

We went to Marshall and won in over-time, thank God their place kicker hit the upright.
But later we went down to Houston, and left with a severe Cougar bite.

We came back and played our rival Memphis, their running back had his ankle wrapped in tape.
But when the football game was over, it looked like the scene of a multiple date rape.

This Saturday we finish up with the Green Wave, who comes in with a record of 2 and 8.
Coach Bower says the eagles will bounce back, but I’m afraid that it is a little too late.

Okay 5 bowl spots.. 6 teams in c-usa are bowl eligble.. 3 teams with 6-5 record (memphis, houston, usm) memphis and houston beat usm so will USM be left out????:smt102 :smt102

IMO, 6-5 doesn't rate a bowl bid...for any team. I think that it goes to show that the majority of bowls are just watered-down money makers for the advertisers and networks. Take us back to the days when there were just a handfull of bowls and teams actually had to perform to earn a bid.

I think anyone who is ranked below the top 30 or so teams should be rewarded. I don't know what USM ranking is, but I would guess lower than the top 50.
