I finally had a chance to read the paper and I was suprised how Stan Caldwell went off on the oak grove band. I saw the play on WDAM "the play of the day" But the camera angle was hard to see exactly what happened.

I was at the game and Caldwell pretty accurately described the play. What happened on the part of the band was inexcusable, especially when Nevil Barr's offense is out on the field -- OG is seemingly capable of scoring suddenly on any given play. Ezell was slow getting up as well, but fortunately was fine.

Call me a traditionalist, but if you can't march with it, you shouldn't play it at halftime. Get rid of the trailers, ATVs, kettle drums, marimba, and all the other crap that's out there. Find something else to do for those poor souls who can't march and play at the same time. Whatever happened to xylophones that could be played while marching? Geez...
