yeah, we have season tickets this year and I saw a problem when they struggled with a team from Canada. Eustachy just doesn't seem to have a good relationship with his players. Which, if they are anything like the football team, I can understand that. He probably expects them to do crazy unheard of things like show up for practice and run the drills he says, but a lot USM players act like they are already pro. And I really don't understand what money has to do with building a college basketball team. They have a very nice basketball court, and they have basketballs. The last game I played, that's all we needed.

Aaron, you're just going to have to stop thinking of USM as a public institution of higher learning, and appreciate it for what it realy is, just another large state, federal, and special interest, subsidized corporate money making machine that is not required to show a profit or be financially responsible in any fashion.
Yeah, I don't really understand it, but I'm just going to have to start thinking of them like I do the government.

4 overtimes and only 83 points!!! Maybe i should invite the USM basketball team over to Wynn's house to play a pickup game, i think i'd have a better chance against them than against the kids across the street....and i think that 3 legged dog down the street could beat the Univ. of N.O. Watching a USM basketball game is about as exciting as watching dead grass grow.

USM wins 68-59 last night over the Division II West Florida Argonauts. The Golden Eagles were trailing 38-31 at the half..before opening with the second half with a nice run to take the lead for good. The game was not settled until the last minute as USM made critical free throws down the stretch to pull out the victory.
Will this team win any games in Conference USA play this year?

USM RPI 266/321 according to cbssportline.com. There are SWAC teams with higher RPI's -- this is truly pathetic.

yep, it was a close one last night. West Florida ran picks on the USM defense with no problem. It suprised me how fast they were. We were very sluggish on offense and mostly used brute force and hail mary fall aways to get it in the basket.

USM played very well defensively in the 2nd half and for the first ten minutes or so of the first half. The last few minutes of the first half, however, UWF was dropping 3 pointers at ease and scoring easy baskets. USM should have won this game by at least 25 points -- UWF is Division II for crying out loud!

If Springhill is NAIA, I doubt there will be a published line. Ole Miss is playing Alcorn State (I think)...the Braves are Division I, but again a line is dubious. You may just have to do a little homework and make something up as you did with the Carey game.
