while I can't speak to this...I don't think NBC would willfully retalliate against Christians, it's probably just a parting shot by the writers of "Will and Grace".
I mean NBC did also produce "Revelations" and "Three Wishes" in the last year.

Not to mention Britney's involvement...yeesh..I wonder if K-Fed will show up and throw down a little "Popazao"!

Yeah but NBC gave us they horror that was Moses staring John Voight which took several stories in the old testament and mushed them all together in the Moses story. WTF?

well..now I didn't say anything about the programming they offered having any quality..I mean "Revelations" was tremendous bust for them. Seriously, if Will and Grace wants to spoof/piss off/whatever Conservative Christians..just don't watch. It's a show that jumped the shark a few seasons ago and obviously ran out of gay/jew/lawyer jokes.

like the earlier statement I never said anything about quality or appeal..I just stated the facts. Whether anyone liked it, watched it, etc. is strictly subjective as is, in my opinion, all television watching.

Let us agree that as far as NBC is concerned that they either:
a) Don't care about Christian American and believe they they are fair game as far as satire is concerned (other groups are NOT fair game however as they are "minority" and therefore untouchable)
b) Quick to do things that will shock their primary viewing audience in an attempt to grab a few dwendling market shares
c) Completely clueless as to who their primary viewing audience is
d) Well aware of who their primary viewing audience is and hate the fact they they are Christian
5) OR are completely nutsoid and don't think before they give a show the ok ... (I mean come on! Jesus is GOD to a MAJORITY of Americans. When we can't make fun of a minority group what makes someone think that the Savior of the marjority is a good target for satire, comedy, or even drama? It just doesn't add up :smt102 ) (Man I've really wanted to use that phrase for a while ;) )

NBC = a little out of touch ... Not Been Clued-in

OK this is the official response from WDAM if you email them about this episode of Will & Grace. It is signed by Cameron himself but I'm sure it is not actually sent by him probably one of his flunkies but you get the idea this is what NBC is supposedly saying:

Thank you for writing to us to express your concerns. It appears that some erroneous information was put out describing the upcoming April 13th episode of “Will & Grace”. We have been assured by NBC that there is to be no reference to “Cruci-fixins” in the show, and the storyline does not contain a Christian characterization at all. NBC also informed us that the episode in question has yet to be written or taped.

We value our viewers and their opinions. We sincerely regret the widespread dissemination of misinformation regarding “Will & Grace”.

I read an article the other day that said basically the same as what's written above. I believe it came from some PR person at NBC.

you know, things like this is why i don`t watch the major channels, except for 6 and 10 news. most of them have shows, sitcoms(that ain`t funny) gay whatever, stupid reality, and all sorts of nameless junk. ouch, i just stepped on a lot of toes, but this is how i cope with it. if i don`t like it, i don`t watch it. if it goes aganist what i belive in, i don`t watch it. just cause i don`t like doesn`t mean that everbody should not like it also. people need to understand that just b/c its out there, YOU AIN`T GOTTA WATCH IT. whew. sorry, got a little carried away.

Generally a very good approach :smt038

It seems television writters have to continuously "push the envelope" to be different ... vs being more creative which is pretty hard. It just seems Christianity is coming under more and more ridicule lately. You can only poke a dog so many times before it's going to bite you.

I hope if this were happening to another faith that I'd feel just as or almost as upset.
