Superbowl XL Commercials...what's your take on them so far?
Got any favorites?
I've noticed the lack of alcohol-related. am just now seeing my first Anheiser Busch/Budweiser commercial.

I really liked the Clydesdale colt "pulling" the wagon. And I really liked the "streaker" sheep. All the other ones...eh. :smt102

Yeah, but you said the Clydesdale commercial was cute. :smt078 Is "cute" really what they were looking for? :smt102

I *did* say it was cute. And it was. Super Cute. :smt055
And if they were hoping to attract female beer drinkers, then it was probably exactly what they were looking for.

The Mastercard commercial with MacGyver!! loved it. :-D
and I liked the Careerbuilder.com working with monkeys when he's talking to the girl and she reveals she works with a bunch of jackasses.

I wasn't too impressed with the commercials this year. There was one that I liked ... the one with the two guys in the locker room fighting over the phone features. One of the guys said "try and steal my wallet" and knocked him in the head with his phone. I forget what he called the feature, but it was funny. Other than that one, I wasn't impressed. And halftime was certainly not very good either.

I'm a big MacGyver fan and I loved it. Looks like he has aged a tad bit since the series. :-D

Guess I haven't thought about him aging since I'm use to seeing him in Stargate(but haven't watched it in quite some time)..in fact I was thinking in the commercial he looked younger than he usually does.

I agree. During the halftime show I kept thinking back to U2 and Super Bowl XXXVI..I really enjoyed that performance. :smt038

Could have doubled as a Just for Men commercial ;)
and Half time sucked ... if it weren't for a few big plays this could have been the most forget-able Super Bowl ever.

Hey Doc- Was that the Mic Ultra Amber commercial...That was my fav also.- that one and the sprint- My phone has criminal deterant where he hits the guy in the head with the phone. - Streaker was good too.
Half time was horrible- I kept waiting for something big to happen. I also have to say i was watching in high def- on a 50 inch tv... they look dead. Mick had this piece of skin like an old lady flapping under his underarm that was gross! They need to go home- LIke the music, but the performance was bad... no "show" to be had there- just some old guys on a stage. They have got to get something better next year. My favorite was the year areosmith had Britney, and run dmc and others join them. There should be a "show" in a half time show!
