Sometimes I have dreams that are something else. Last night was one of those nights. Sometimes, I can pick up the little pieces of dream that came from something I've seen before, but this is not one of those times. I do listen to my dreams, as sometimes they are prophetic or insightful to a problem I'm having or thinking about. I don't know what to do with this one... Here goes:
I go to visit, what in my mind, is called Waveland. I've never been to Waveland before, so I don't have any visual references to it. I'm standing over the ocean, looking down at the waves. The waves are 3-4' and there are 2-3 surfers scattered throughout the broken swells. The water is bluish-green, and the sky is graying. I wonder why people are surfing, because the closer you get to the beach, the more rocks there are sticking through the waves. The rocks are strange. They are like stalagmites, rising from the sand. These rocks also are on the beach, everywhere. There's enough room to walk around them, and spread a blanket around them, but for the most part, they dominate the scene. The rocks are from 2-4' high. The problem I'm having in my dream is how do I make this beach viable for business with all of the rocks around?
So, the idea hits me to make them a project for the community. Each family gets a rock, and gets to carve it into a castle, and a beach full of castles will be the draw. I get a copy of a book called "Rock Carving by Todd". It has a faded green color with paper binding and a black spine. I never open the book. On the beach, there's a shop where you can rent rock carving tools. Soon, everyone's carving their castles, and they are magnificent. They are detailed, and ornate, and beautiful. Soon, they finish the carving, and start to paint them. It's a wonderful scene. Still, it is not enough, and I don't feel like I'm finished...
This is about where I woke up, although some stuff happened afterward that I don't really remember, but this dream was so fantastic, I made a point to remember it... What does it mean?
