Looks like Collins is going to get a new waterpark. Sounds like a good idea, I'm wondering why Collins is a better location than Hattiesburg?

Interesting...Collins is a nice little town.

could it be because of the Okatoma and hoping to capitalize on people who already come to the area for water recreation?

Hwy 84 east and west will one day be interstate 14. More traffic and you throw in hwy 49 you got a lot of folks going by the park. Just 12 years or so ago they were going to put in a six flags type park just north of collins on the property that is now the golf course. That fell through and the golf course took it's place.
