Since the legislature is in session (and no man's life, liberty or property is safe :-D), what laws would you like to see passed? Anything goes.

I'll be first.

Mayors should submit their list of department heads within 4 weeks of taking office.

That girl should give noway's ring back.

Fuzzis, I'm not sure what the fine is, but you can be charged with ' improper lane usage ' for travelling in the left lane if your not passing slower traffic.

Then I vote for strict enforcement. I'm a good driver. And a courteous one. (If I weren't, the Sner...who is a truck driver and who has at various points in her career been an instructor for other drivers...would shoot me) I don't get road rage and not much bothers me when I drive. Except this gawd-awful habit Southerners have of driving in the left-lane. It starts in Texas and spreads eastward like the freakin' plague.

the the car in front of you signals a turn. come to find out that its the car or two in front of them that is turning. they are not. why do they do that. i guess they think they are helping everyone else out.

MERGE DOES NOT MEAN STOP! STOP DOES NOT MEAN MERGE! The law should be to shoot on site anyone confusing the two. SHOOT THEM!

I don't get road rage either, but I get irritated when someone is turning left and doesn't use the turn lane, therefore holding up traffic in the right lane. Therefore, anyone not using the turn lane when waiting to turn left should have to pay a stiff fine.

Also, this is more of a pet peeve than "there ought to be a law," but...I can't stand grammatically incorrect signs. There is nothing wrong with not being able to spell or in not knowing where and when to properly use apostrophes, but at least have the decency to not be in the sign business if you are untalented in this department!

Whew, I feel better now. :)

There should be a law that will allow you to blow up every drive through carwash that you pay $6.00 to use then drive in and the dam thing doesn't have any soaps or cleaners. Or even worse when its suds you down and only half of the jets work.:smt070

Drive-through carwashes suck. :smt070 Much prefer to spend the $5.00 and 20 minutes to do it myself. Speaking of which...Esteban needs a bath. Badly. :(

It should be a law that private property can not be taken from an individual only to be developed by anyone other than the government and owned by anyone other than the public. :smt086

I remember the driver's ed instructor telling us this was a big no-no. Didn't know if it was a law or maybe his pet peeve? :-D Either way, it sunk in. I've never done it I don't believe.

It should be a law that kids are not to allow to let out blood curling screams unless they are in mortal danger. Maybe I'll just buy some earplugs...

There really needs to be a law against the person that thinks carrying 60 and yes I said 60 because I counted it one time when I was behind a guy who was carrying 15 pallets 2 to the back window of a truck and 2 to the tail end of the truck just waiting to topple over on to the street. And might I add that the truck it self was a small pickup truck.

In my world...

pizzas would come in round boxes...
we would definately drive on driveways and park in parkways...
the place you board a plane would not be called a terminal...
Final Destination would be the only movie. there would be no Final Destination II... who does that? it's not really the Final Destination in the first place then!
Impromptu speeches would not exist...
a lot would be one word (alot)... it would just make it easier for a lot of people...
and you would not be able to begin or end a sentence with "this/that goes without saying". if it goes without saying, then you don't have to say it!

there are so many more things i could post, but i'll stop there.

There ought to be a law about people on weathersby Rd who get into the turn lane for the hospital and don" turn. This is NOT a lane to go straight. I was ran into oncoming traffic because some idiot just had to get one car length ahead and would have hit me if I hadn't taken the head on lane. I was peed and got behind them hoping their tag was from outside the area-I may have been understanding if so. It was a forrest county tag and that really irritated me. All Forrest and Lamar county people know how that road runs.
