Ken hopes to win Barbie back

Ken (http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/02/09/ken.barbie.reut/) is coming back with a new look and attitude and hopes to win back Barbie. Mattel is hoping his reappearance will help with sales.

The article mentions something about Ken being a cross between Orlando Bloom and Matthew McConaughey. Shoot if that's the case if Barbie won't take him I will!! :-D

Looking at those pictures, I didn't realize how awful Ken looked in the 70s. Of course, I only had nephews then so it's probably a good thing.

I had one ken doll...think he had swimming trunks! he was ALWAYS underdressed when he would come see Barbie. I had a ton of Barbies though..can't wait for rae to get into barbies. i've been eyeing several i like. :-D

The Ken I had was very "Bo Schneider" pretty. Blonde hair, tan, great smile..ofcourse I had him in the early eighties so he might have been influenced by Bo Duke. :)

Why is Ken so hung up on Barbie? How much crap can he really put up with? She dumps him in front of the whole world and then has that fling with Spiderman. Talk about kicking the guy when he is down. It's not like there aren't any other dolls out their. I am sure that if Ken would put his mind to it he could hook up with one of the Olsen twin dolls. Word on the street is that Ken might even be looking for a G.I. Joe of his own. What ever he chooses to do I will support him as long as he doesn't get drunk and go out with that Cabbage Patch doll again.

Well you know...he did spend 30+ years with her. Gave her god knows how many Corevettes and houses and busses and pools and shoes and RINGS and Bob Mackie gowns...that she never gave back (what's the joke about the price of the Divorced Barbie versus the other Barbies?) While there may be other dollies out there (some of the Bratz girls perhaps?), maybe Barbie is secretly a closet freak and no one quite does it like she does.
