    Thunder in January...frost in May.

There's quite a thunderboomer going on outside this morning! If the old saying is correct, we'll be having a frost in May. It's been a weird January weatherwise so far this year.

CG, the old farmers' adage was: Thunder in February - Frost in April

My grands and great uncles always used this to plant crops by and

I've kept up with it as an adult.... We haven't always had a frost, but

there has always been a corresponding drop in temp close to freezing.

Somewhere I've read that: Thunder in January ..... Snow ten days later !!

( I'm not in favor of that one down here..... hehehehehe)
