Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted (mathew 5:4)
"And you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you" (John 16:22).
While you are healing from the loss of a loved one, God will comfort you (2 Corinthians 7:6).
The Bible tells us that God is the father of mercies and God of all comfort and that He will comfort us in all our tribulations (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
Be assured that God loves you and that He understands how much you are hurting. God promises you in Isaiah 43:2
that when you go through deep waters and great trouble, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Run to the shelter of the Most High where you will find sweet rest (Psalm 91:1-2)
May you find comfort during this time in His arms. Praying for your family during this time.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and words of kindness.
He was laid to rest today. It was a very tough funeral. It's been a very long time since I've had to hold back my emotions like I did today. It was gut wrenching to say the least. After the service I was practically give out along with my wife.
thank you so much for your kindness.

FB and Family, I am so sorry for this great loss you are going through, I know what it is like for my hero's to die. Every day now you will find little things that make you remember him and the tears will fall but there will be a time where there will be only smiles of remembrance. I believe our love ones with us and watch out for us. Lwood

Don't know how I missed it either. Prayers for you and your family. Ironic, my daddy was buried October 23, exactly 3 months ago from your uncle. Lung cancer got him too. Maybe they are talking over the would of, could of, should of's of their treatments.
