These birthday parties for kids nowadays...it's starting to get on my nerves. Well, actually I'm about fed up with them. I've got two boys. One is two and the other is fixin' to turn 7. I started keeping up with how many of these birthday parties the oldest goes to. Since November he's been to 7 of them. That's seven Saturdays where pretty much half the day is screwed up because he HAS to go to them. I know that the little one has been to two of them here recently. But DANG!!!! it's almost every freakin' weekend!
I'm tired of having him HAVE to go because he just HAS to. I think these birthday party deals all the time are ridiculous. What is it with this stuff?
My daughter is 12 and gets invites constantly it seems. I do try to take her....if she wants to go.
I do appreciate it when other parents bring their kids to my daughter's parties, so I try to remember that and go to their parties...
I will say that we don't go if it interferres with family time or plans we have already made.. we go if we can.
