I am a Penny ( what my kids call Pentecostals ), we take our religion seriously but we can laugh at ourselves and understand wholeheartedly why others think we are weird but once you know us we are like everyone else.
The Mormans come by all the time but my husband talks to them. My daughter dated a Morman for years, he was a good boy, my daughter even went to Utah with them. While they were there the parents bought all their special undergarments and he told us as long as you wear them you are protected, from what I do not know.

Reason, I hope that someday you can make peace with yourself...
Oh, I'm at peace with myself. I appreciate the concern.

Your sole purpose on this forum seems to be to tear down religion and Christian beliefs and values.
No, just in this thread. You might be great people who mean well, but your beliefs and values are stupid.

What a sad, miserable little person you are.
I'm not sad or miserable, and your insult is not a very Christ-like.

Reason, Easter is right around the corner. You should really consider dressing in something nice and taking part of a local church's Easter morning service so you may learn what Jesus is all about and hopefully SOMEHOW understand your purpose here on Earth and set peace in your heart.
No, but thank you, my heart is plenty peaceful. I'm well aware of what Jesus was about, which is rarely what Christianity is about. I already have a sense of purpose in my life, no need for an invisible space daddy.
Easter is a celebration of the resurrection. It implies Jesus was a supernatural being who rose from the grave. Even if he did, which is impossible, you have no way to verify it.
Besides, Easter was originally a Pagan holiday celebrating spring and fertility, which accounts for the bunnies and the eggs.
I might eat a Cadbury egg or two.

I am glad to know that just because someones opinion differs from that of your own it makes the other party stupid.
Welcome to the joys of internet tough guys.
Well said.
As for mormons or anyone coming to my door...I try to be polite and respectful to everyone. I have no reason to be rude to them, they are human beings for cryin' out loud. If I don't want to deal with them, I don't answer the door. Usually just saying I'm not interested (even if I have to say it over and over)is enough.

I surely do wish they would knock at my door..
I think I would act really drunk and start asking them if they are the the dancers I called about and grab their ties an ask if they want a drink........
It would surely be fun as heck and i would do it to........
Why would you want to do this to young men that have given two years of their young lives to carry the word of their faith, even if you don't believe in it yourself?

Its called having a sense of humor!!!!!
IMO... I am not the one knocking on their door trying to teach them my faith......If I wanted to hear their teaching I would visit their church and pick up the books myself.
So if they are in my yard where they are not invited to be, if I want to have a little fun IMO its my right its my yard....
I'm not downing them by no means just having a little sense of humor on the topic is all......
I don't debate faith in ones God......Everyone has their own beliefs and their own relationship with their God. To me that is a personal level u just don't cross and u just don't try to push on others either.

No, I'm not calling you stupid out of a difference of opinion. I'm calling you stupid because you believe in something without evidence.
If the universe is so complex is necessitates a God who created it, then doesn't that imply that God is more complex than the universe, and thus must also have been created - ad infinitum?
If you continue to believe in light of the above statement, you are a moron.
Some sheep herders from the bronze age write a book claiming all sorts of ridiculous nonsense, and you decide to take them at their words without a shred of proof. Yet, you look at Scientologists like they are kooks for doing the same exact thing.

One in every crowd. How you feel about Obama? There the two hot button issues in one thread. We will find out one day who is right, or if we could, we could ask George Carlin.

i think they were too. I had some baptists from a petal chuch come to my house sunday afternoon, i made sure my tatoos were visible, but I did engage them in a bit of debate that they were non to eager to get into. They were however, very pushy about me accepting Jesus Christ as my savior that very minute even tho I explained tht I already had and that my relationship with God was between Him and me. why are zealots so pushy?
I normally do not answer my door if I am not expecting anyone, especially at night. Our front door is kind of hidden from view and with all the invasions that happen, just not comfortable with it.
I have nothing against any other religion as long as it is not forced on me, to each his own. My grandparents lived in Hattiesburg for many many years and were Baptists, members of the church that used to be near William Carey, Immanuel (??) can't remember it has been so long ago. They moved to Idaho and said the Baptist Church was not like they were used to so they joined a Mormon Church. I thought it was strange of them at the time, but when we went to visit them, we attended church with them and it was not as bad as I imagined it might have been. I have gone to several different churches over the years and only had an issue with one or two. I just did not go back to those. I say to each his own, but respect my choice as well.
