Who will win the House District 101 special election?

The election for this post will be December 19.

If necessary, the runoff will be January 2.

As Hawkeye suggested, for the next ten days let's limit the voting in this poll to only those residents in District 101.

After that, the poll becomes fair game for all.

Here is a map of District 101:

I like the way that you ask people to not vote if they're not in the district, not demand it like one guy used to do. :smt038

So 101 covers Forrest and Lamar counties?

I'm gonna wait for a little more discussion and a little more background info before voting. Gotta sort this thing out.

Re: Who will win the House District 101 special election?

Hello everyone. long time no see. A lot seems to have happened around here since I posted last (this summer). I had to come back and vote on this poll. I live in jackson right now but I still vote at home in 101, so I guess that makes me eligible, right?

Shaped up to be full of good folks. I'm glad. Ya'll take care.

Well, if I'm correct this will be a long running thread that may stay at the top of this forum for weeks. If you only want people from 101 to vote, I'd never assume they know, I'd put it in the thread. Tully took care of it though.

Is Samuel McHard Erica's father or her husband? If it is her husband, he has got to be 25+ years her senior.

And that would make a difference because .... ?????

Just curious about the relevance in a qualifications discussion.

It doesn't have any relevance to her qualifications whatsoever nor did I ever suggest that it did. I see nothing on this thread about limiting the discussion to the candidates qualifications, and no doubt many of us have ventured far beyond that realm when it comes to a certain candidate. This was just a question about the candidate, that is all. It is not ever day you meet a man or a woman whose spouse is old enough to be their father/daughter.

Ye who have not sinned caste the first stone.

Given the nature of message boards and the folks who post on them...I think it was a bit on the naive side to think that you were going to get ineligible voters to hold off period, let alone 10 days. Nice thought, but...
